Record Types are a mid-level grouping of applications. All records created within a record type have the same form, but they can have different fees, reviewing departments, and inspections. Every type of permit or license must be assigned a record type.
Defined at the Record Type level:
- Form filled out by the applicant, including required fields & recommended attachments.
- Documents that are available to be issued (e.g. Stop Work Order, Violation Notice, Certificate of Occupancy).
- Fees that are charged to the applicant.
- User Permissions – who can edit the application, who can add/edit tasks.
